Terms of Use

1. Purpose

The website smartformulation.fr presents the Smart Formulation platform, a digital platform for predictive modelling of pharmaceutical stability (Beyond-Use Date, BUD). The platform and interactive modules are developed in KNIME for scientific, exploratory and educational purposes. They are not medical devices and are not certified for operational clinical use.

2. Access

Access to the website is free. Users agree to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Status of Interactive Tools

The interactive modules available on the website (including those embedded via iframe from KNIME) are research prototypes under ongoing scientific evaluation, provided for demonstration, testing and training purposes. They do not replace stability studies, official pharmacopoeial standards (Ph. Eur., USP, ICH, Stabilisetc.), or internal procedures of any healthcare institution. The results must be interpreted with caution, in a non-decision-making context, and must not be used as the sole basis for determining a Beyond-Use Date (BUD).

4. Liability

The information provided on the website and through KNIME modules is scientific, educational and informational. It is indicative, non-exhaustive, and not intended for direct clinical use. It does not replace the professional judgment of a pharmacist, validated stability studies, or regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceutical preparations. The publisher declines all responsibility for misinterpretation, inappropriate use of results, or any decision made solely on the basis of the information or modules presented.

5. Intellectual Property

All website elements (texts, logos, graphics, databases, predictive models, algorithms, design) are protected by intellectual property law and belong to Fabrice Pirot (unless otherwise stated). Any reproduction or distribution, even partial, is prohibited without written permission. Integrated KNIME elements remain the property of KNIME AG and are used in compliance with their licences.

The website may contain links to third-party sites (including KNIME or scientific/technical resources). The publisher is not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the courts of Lyon shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
